The structure of GYXTW central bundle tube optical fiber is to insert 250μm optical fiber into a loose sleeve made of high modulus material and fill it with a waterproof compound. The loose sleeve is wrapped with a layer of double-sided plastic steel belt (PSP).

Loose tube aerial cables are highly suited to long deployments, up to and beyond what was traditionally feasible with blown fiber.
