The name isn’t random — it’s a harmonised European code that tells you exactly what you’re buying:
You may also see it sold as 318-TRS or grouped with the heavier H05RN-F Rubber Cable (the “N” simply means neoprene/sheath for extra mechanical strength). If you’re not sure which rating your project needs, send us your application — we’ll point you to the right type.
H05RR-F is a light-to-medium-duty cable, designed for frequent handling, trailing and flexing. Common setups include:
It also pairs naturally with H07RN-F Cable when your application steps up to heavier mechanical stress.
| Layer | Material |
|---|---|
| Conductor | Flexible Class 5 tinned copper — strands stay supple and resist corrosion |
| Insulation | Rubber, type E1.4 — seals each core, offers good dielectric strength |
| Sheath | Tough rubber, type EM2 — protects the bundle against abrasion and impact |
Rubber insulation and sheathing give H05RR-F cable two things PVC can’t easily match: it keeps its flexibility down to −20 °C, and it recovers well after repeated coiling and bending. The tinned copper strands are there for a reason too — they resist oxidation where the cable flexes and rubs over time.

Every cable we ship is measured and checked against the drawing, not the datasheet. If overall diameter or weight matters to your installation — conduit fill, reel dimensions, drum weights — tell us your numbers when you order. As the manufacturer behind VERI Cable, we’re glad to build the Rubber Cable to the exact specification you give us, and we customise cores, sheath colour and lengths to suit.
VERI Cable is the overseas brand of ZMS Cable, a manufacturing facility with years of experience in rubber-insulated cables. That means you deal directly with the maker — not a middleman:
H05RR-F is a harmonised European designation: H (harmonised standard), 5 (300/500 V rating), R (rubber insulation), R (rubber sheath) and F (flexible stranded conductor). It tells you at a glance that this is a light-duty, flexible rubber cable.
Both are flexible rubber cables at 300/500 V. The “N” in H05RN-F indicates a tougher, often neoprene-type sheath that gives higher mechanical strength, making it a step up when the cable faces heavier handling or outdoor wear. H05RR-F suits light-to-medium duty; choose H05RN-F when you need the extra toughness.
It’s suitable for temporary outdoor applications in dry or damp conditions, such as garden tools and portable equipment. For permanent or heavy outdoor exposure, a tougher rating is the safer pick — ask our team and we’ll recommend the right one.
H05RR-F comes in 2, 3, 4 and 5 cores, from 0.75 mm² up to 6 mm², with 6-core available on request. Core colours follow the standard identification table above, and sheath comes in black or white.
Yes. As the manufacturer, we can adapt overall diameter, sheath colour, core layout and length to your project’s requirement. Share your target numbers and we’ll confirm feasibility before you commit.
Need H05RR-F rubber cable in volume, or a custom spec you don’t see here? Tell us the cores, sizes and lengths — we’ll come back with a quote and the technical drawing to confirm.
